I am going to the Wetafest next week and have been trying to get the required $100,000 liability insurance. My agent has checked Progressive, Travelers, Geico, and others but they are not writing multihull policies. Anywhere. I did connect with US Sailing who has an affiliate insurance agent that did get me a policy for the Alter cup but they are unable to write a policy in Florida. Im kinda in a panic at this point so any suggestions are welcome.

I have confirmed that so far 4 Weta Trimarans will be swarming the waters of Lake Santa Fe, this weekend. Three Weta owners live near the lake and they will all be sailing plus I will be sailing my Weta. This is a free event. No charge for camping or launching at Lakeside Landing 572 SE 16th Street, Melrose, Florida near Gainesville. Boats can be left mast up, over night at the launch site. I noticed this mod, developed by Bryan Linnett, at the Australian Nationals and thought it was worth sharing.

It improves the effectiveness of the jib by turning it into a decksweeper thus cleaning up the airflow (as seen on other dinghies) and also moves the jib forward which makes the Clew adjustment holes in the jib more useful (especially for the ST where the rear 2 holes are normally behind the track car). All it requires are 1m x 4mm Dyneema and a small soft shackle. There are more photos and full instructions on the WetaForum
