We've sailed this boat mostly in fresh water lakes. We've sailed in saltwater only about five times and each time we carefully rinsed the boat with fresh water. The corners of the outriggers started to split so we had them fiberglassed by boat builders and the beefed up joints work great. My husband has Parkinson's so we are sadly relegated to sailing our Hobie tandem Island because it's easier for him. (The weta is way more fun) The trailer is a bit larger than it needs to be, but it is very roadworthy. We purchased the trailer in South Carolina and they don't require tags so it doesn't have one.
