About the Event
Epic downwind run from Morro Bay Harbor to Avila Beach. ~18 nm run around Montana De Oro State park, Spooners Cove, Point Buchon, Diabalo Nuclear Power plant, Finishing in Port San Luis/Avila Beach. Requires a drop off and pick up, Morro Bay has a paved launch ramp and Port San Luis has a paved ramp down to the beach. After you finish, beach your boat, haul it up the beach on the cart, and load up. Pre race party hosted by Morro Bay Yacht Club, usually need 3 boats to get a class/ awards.
More details to come. Usually timed late in the year to take advatage of nicer conditions and the cruisers heading South for the start of the Baja Ha-Ha. Open to all boats, including paddle craft.
