Hi all,
Just wanted to inform the community that I noticed my stern deck/hull join separated right before taking the boat to launch (sanded inspection pic below). I saw the crack and covered the crack with my mouth and blew and found the separation did radically compromise the watertight integrity (my boat would've filled with water). I then carefully inspected the rest of the join and found another much smaller separation on the port side and I also found a small pin hole separation up by the bow. My boat is a post 2015 #IDPCUW1057D515. I drew upon my F25C repair skills and wrapped the stern in carbon/epoxy after thorough prep.
I wondered about the same thing but the hull was put away dry for the winter and under cover. Identified in the spring immediately after taking out from undercover.
I noticed the New York trailer tag and wondered if there was some water or major dampness in the joint that froze in the winter - expanding the joint.
