2021 Ventura Swarms
The first of two 2021 Ventura Swarms is coming soon. The third Saturday in April, the 17th, we will meet at the Ventura Harbor Launch Ramp at 10 a.m., assemble and rig our Wetas, and go for a fun sail. Typically, that time of year, we have afternoon westerlies in the mid-teens. There are many options to choose from: long day sail, short day sail, W/L racing with rabbit starts, harbor buoy racing, etc. If you intend to come join us, please email me at wetasocal@yahoo.com and we can start a discussion of exactly what kind of swarm we want to have. I can also answer all questions regarding local Ventura knowledge. Hopefully, by then, the Ventura Sailing Club headquarters, aka The Victoria Pub, will be open and we can meet in the evenings for prep and/or debrief.

The second 2021 Ventura Swarm will be on the third weekend in August, the 21st.
I regret that I must report that I am cancelling the August Swarm. Personal family matters have become severely complicated since mid-June preventing Gail and I from being available to host a swarm in August.
I am still trying to sail my Weta once a week, so, everybody has an open invitation to come sail with me in Ventura anytime. Just contact me several days in advance to make sure I will be available.
